Miltiadis Tentoglou of Greece has won the gold medal in the men’s long jump in dramatic fashion, after jumping 8.41m in his sixth and final attempt.
Second and third positions were secured by Cuba’s Juan Miguel Echevarria and Maykel Masso. Echevarria matched Tentoglou’s 8.41m in his third jump – but a count-back of their other attempts gave the Greek athlete the lead by the narrowest of margins.
