Jurgen Klopp’s side are closing in on the league title as they play their first home match of the restarted season

Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League tonight.

The Reds are chasing their first league title in 30 years and could seal it with a win at Anfield depending on results elsewhere over the next two nights. Jurgen Klopp’s side could only draw with rivals Everton in their first game of the restarted season on Sunday and will be looking for all three points this evening. Crystal Palace are enjoying a fine campaign of their own and kept their hopes of European football next term on course with a win over Bournemouth in their first game back on Saturday.

We will have all the action for you live following the conclusion of Wolves vs Bournemouth:

8′ – Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Big chance for the home side. A cross comes in toward Salah, Sakho gets a high boot to the ball and it drops for Wijnaldum – who screws his shot wide from eight yards. Should have done better.

2020-06-24T19:21:27.370Z

6′ – Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

A little more tempo in the Reds’ play compared to the derby at the weekend. Early moments, but some nice exchanges between Firmino and Mane in particular.

2020-06-24T19:18:15.396Z

2′ – Liverpool 0-0 Palace

Liverpool possession early on as we might expect. Nothing too much in terms of an early sight of goal, though.

KICK OFF

2020-06-24T19:15:09.033Z

The whistle goes, the players take a knee – and then we’re underway.

2020-06-24T19:12:47.590Z

Anfield is empty with regards to fans, but You’ll Never Walk Alone is ringing out and the Kop is packed with iconic banners.

Right then. A win for Liverpool tonight puts them two points from the title, though practically speaking they may not need them.

If Man City don’t beat Chelsea on Thursday, the title will be Liverpool’s; similarly if the Reds take a point against City in their next game, the championship will be settled.

FULL TIME

Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Another victory for Wolves, who stay level on points with Man United who have also won tonight. Sixth place and looking strong.

Bournemouth stay 17th, still in the bottom three on goal difference.

2020-06-24T18:54:20.840Z

90+3′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Final seconds. Ramsdale pings a ball forward, Boly clears. All or nothing for Bournemouth now with a throw-in from the left. Danjuma launches it into the area…and Patricio claims. That should be that.

2020-06-24T18:52:30.296Z

90+1′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Ramsdale runs out of his area to head a through-ball clear – but straight to Dendoncker, who sends a long-range, first-time effort sailing back toward goal…and a curling a couple of yards wide.

WOL subs: Podence for Jimenez, Gibbs-White for Moutinho.

YELLOW CARD

2020-06-24T18:50:39.023Z

89′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Last minute. Moutinho with a foul and he’s booked. Bournemouth send it forward but the offside flag is up. Another very, very poor display from them in an attacking sense.

2020-06-24T18:47:18.046Z

86′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Time quickly running out for Eddie Howe’s team. They just haven’t managed to find a consistent attacking plan since the restart at all. Solanke has had two touches of the ball in his 20 minutes on the pitch so far.

82′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Danjuma curls one toward the far post but wide – at least it’s a shot, though.

BOU sub: Lloyd Kelly is on for Stacy for his Premier League debut.

2020-06-24T18:40:36.683Z

80′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

A corner hits Boly on the leg without him knowing anything about it and forces Ramsdale into a save low to his left.

Big quest for the Cherries now: can they manage a shot on target during the game? They haven’t so far. They only managed one against Palace, too.

2020-06-24T18:38:40.463Z

76′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Neto goes for goal but his effort is wayward. A couple of corners in a row now for the home side. Bournemouth fighting hard at the back to close out spaces, but getting absolutely nowhere in terms of their own attacks.

72′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

WOL sub: Adama off, Dendoncker on

2020-06-24T18:32:48.553Z

70′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Adama isn’t happy at a tackle from Adam Smith, but it looked perfectly fine. A bit of an argument ensues with four or five players, before it’s all sorted and on we go. Bournemouth really need to come up with a bit more intent and invention – they’ve not had a shot in well over half an hour.

2020-06-24T18:26:58.230Z

66′ – Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth

Time for Eddie Howe to roll the dice. Needs a response from his team, after they failed to spark into action when behind against Palace at the weekend. Drinks break and changes, then.

BOU subs: Solanke and Harry Wilson on for Stanislas and Lerma. Danjuma for Brooks, too.
