Leicester host Sheffield United in the Premier League this evening as both sides attempt to move closer to European spots.
The Foxes got the worst possible result at Bournemouth last time out to leave them vulnerable to the chasing pack in the race for the Champions League. The Blades themselves are in the hunt for the Europa League and showed just how dangerous they can be comprehensively dispatching Chelsea on Saturday evening.

25′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
Drinks break. Or tactical reshuffle moment, as you prefer.
22′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
Desperate defending. Perez’s srike is blocked, Vardy thinks he’s fouled on the rebound but not given, then bodies are thrown in the way to deflect Ndidi’s shot behind for a corner.
18′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
Both managers very vocal on the sideline. Neither team really able to trouble the goalkeepers yet.
14′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
Schmeichel has to fist away a dangerous corner. Sheffield United just starting to come into the match now. At the other end Vardy gets into a dangerous area, but overhits his cross with two running in.
10′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
Vardy spins inside the box and screws a shot across the face of goal, but Henderson gets enough of a foot to the ball to divert it away.
6′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
The Blades working hard, closing out spaces, but not much in the way of attacking intent yet. Leicester definitely the more intense side at the start and Perez heads over at the far post from a looping cross.
2′ – Leicester 0-0 Sheffield United
A couple of corners early on for the home side and Barnes appeals for a penalty as a cross is blocked, but nothing doing from the ref.
Just under 10 minutes to kick-off at the KP Stadium.
Team form:
It’s not great from Leicester. One win and six points from their six matches since the restart leaves them scrapping for a top-four spot when third looked theirs.
It’s better recently from Sheffield United, who have won three of their last four after back-to-back defeats beforehand.
Worth noting that Thomas is in due to a host of injury absentees: Pereira out with his ACL, Chilwell and Amartey are injured, Soyuncu is suspended, Albrighton isn’t fully fit and Fuchs is apparently out too!
Big evening for Thomas, who is an England youth international but makes his senior debut tonight for the Foxes.
“He’ll be excited, and if he’s making his debut, he’ll have impressed everyone at the Club – especially Brendan Rodgers.”
That’s the view of Chris Powell on the youngster.
Both these sides desperately need the three points to chase their respective European dreams.
For Leicester, it’s all about the Champions League. Their fate is still in their own hands despite a horrid run, but they must find victories.
Sheffield United are eighth, but can go sixth with a win here, at least temporarily.
The Blades are unchanged, meanwhile, as they look to push their own Europa League hopes.
Evening all! Team news just rolling in.
Leicester stick with a back three as Wes Morgan returns and 19-year-old Luke Thomas comes in at left-wing back.
