RB Leipzig vs Manchester United LIVE: Team news and line-ups ahead of Champions League fixture tonight

Manchester United travel to RB Leipzig in the final fixture in the Champions League group stage.

It’s an all-or-nothing situation, with both teams – plus PSG – locked on nine points at the start of play. United know a draw or better will take them through to the last 16 knock-out stage, while Leipzig have to find a win as they have the worst head-to-head record.

Both teams could go through with a draw if PSG lose to Istanbul Basaksehir, but neither can rely on that unlikely outcome which should lead to an exciting 90 minutes in Germany. Follow live updates from the Champions League below.

RESULTS SO FAR

United made a great start by winning in Paris and hammering Leipzig at home, leaving them needing four points from four games to qualify. They’re not there yet though, after a loss in Turkey before a home win against Basaksehir, then a defeat to PSG last time out.

As for Leipzig, they have alternated wins and defeats: beat Istanbul BB, lost at Old Trafford, a win then a defeat to PSG and finally the vital, late win in Turkey last week. Will the pattern continue?

LINEUPS

Looks as though Julian Nagelsmann is hoping for rotation and movement in the final third to cause United problems, rather than having a single focal point as his No. 9. He’ll be looking for plenty from Dani Olmo and Christopher Nkunku.

Leipzig XI: Gulacsi; Mukiele, Orban, Konate, Angelino; Haidara, Kampl, Sabitzer; Olmo, Nkunku, Forsberg

BIG NIGHT!

Evening all! This is a proper all-or-nothing night, one of few remaining in the Champions League group stage.

Leipzig vs United is coming up, one or even both teams could end the night in the last 16…but the likelihood is that one will be in the Europa League instead. You don’t want to be on the wrong side of the dotted line at full-time.
