21 mins: Tammy Abraham does well to squeeze the ball to Gilmour after a hig press. He continues his run into the box and receives the pass. Sibbick comes across and slides into the Chelsea striker bringing him down in the box. Martin Atkinson waves play on and Abraham is fuming. The replays show Sibbick missing the ball and taking the man. No VAR, no penalty.

18 mins: Mowatt whips in the set piece, Zouma wins the header but only knocks it out of the box. Gilmour tries to regain possession on the Barnsley left wing and wins a throw in for Chelsea.

15 mins: Kurt Zouma tries to pick out Hudson-Odoi with a long ball forward but he’s put under pressure from Andersen and Styles who come away with the ball. Barnsley will be happy with the way the game is developing. They win another corner that Mowatt wil take.

12 mins: Big save from Kepa who keeps the match all square. Barnsley are rewarded for their aggressive start. They’re making things tough for Chelsea out there.

9 mins: There’s no VAR in action at Oakwell tonight as the game is being played at a non-Premier League ground. Mowatt is given the ball out on the left side. He whips the ball into the box and Chaplin flicks it onto the back post. Brittain arrives and hits the ball at goal but Kepa Arrizabalaga dives low and stops the shot!

6 mins: Barnsley have started really well, Chelsea haven’t been out of their own half. N’Golo Kante threads a pass up to Callum Hudson-Odoi but he’s flagged offside.

3 mins: Callum Brittain fires an early corner into the box for Barnsley but Tammy Abraham is back their to do his defensive duties. It’s been a decent start from Barnsley as Cauley Woodrow receives the ball in the final third and strikes a shot over the goal.

Barnsley get the game underway at Oakwell. They face an uphill task to overcome Chelsea. Thomas Tuchel knows he needs to win trophies at the club and victory tonight is a step closer for the London club.

Back to Oakwell where victory would see Chelsea reach the FA Cup quarter-finals for the 15th time since 2000, more than any other side in that period.
