Liverpool vs Tottenham LIVE: Latest score, goals and updates from Premier League fixture tonight

Liverpool are taking on Tottenham tonight at Anfield in a massive match at the top of the Premier League. The two clubs have set the early pace in the top flight this season and the winner tonight can make a huge statement by denting their rivals’ title credentials.

Jurgen Klopp’s champions have overcome several significant injuries in the early part of the campaign to key players like Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson to be right in the mix with the early forerunners and came into the midweek round of games behind Spurs only on goal difference. But recent 1-1 draws with Brighton and then Fulham on the weekend have revealed weaknesses in the side that Jose Mourinho will hope to exploit tonight.

Spurs are flying high having conceded only 10 goals all season, and Liverpool’s challenge will be to break down that dogged defensive structure which kept Manchester City at bay a few weeks ago. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are in irresistible form art the start of the campaign and Liverpool must find a way to stop Tottenham’s ruthless counter-attacking too.

Leicester 0 – 2 Everton

90+4 mins: Full time. A great night for Everton to follow up their victory against Chelsea last time out. They were so restrictive of Leicester’s forward players and took advantage of a couple of moments of good fortune to give them an unassailable lead. Another frustrating match for Brendan Rodgers against Carlo Ancelotti. The Foxes have lost four out of seven home games now this season.
