The first winter series of Love Island has officially begun as the contestants make their way into the villa.
The UK winter season will introduce 12 new hopefuls looking to find love, this time in South Africa.
Last year’s contest was won by Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea in what proved to be one of the most controversial series in the show’s history.
Among this year’s singles are celebrity siblings, landowners and police officers, who will be joined by brand new host Laura Whitmore.

Posh Ollie is talking to Paige. They’re swapping relationship stories – he’s admitted that he cheated on his first long-term girlfriend. She claims she can be quite high-maintenance.
First night in the villa which means a party. Very nice toast from Mike. Slow shots of everyone dancing. Now they’re all off for one-to-ones.
The lads are dissecting the events of Love Island so far, which means they are talking about…. nothing.
Kidding, they’re just talking about the girls.
The girls, meanwhile, are talking about the boys. Sophie is a fan of the fact that Connor sells coffee beans.
Just gonna put this out there now… not one contestant (so far) asides from maybe Mike, has shown any hint of having a personality.
I was wrong! Only Leanne stepped forward, Mike chose her. That’s all the couples sorted…
All the girls looking VERY interested in Mike. I reckon all the girls are going to step forwards.
OLLIE, sorry, not Callum. As Leanne pointed out, all these guys look the bloody same.
Connor has gone for Sophie, meaning Paige is stuck with Callum.
Paige is trying to ditch Callum! Bwahahaha.
Two single girls left, Leanne and Sophie. But Connor can choose any of the girls he fancies, even if they’re already coupled up.
I think it’s the haircut.
Here comes Connor, who has a bit of a Peaky Blinders vibe going on.
So Ollie has gone for Paige.
Reminder: The guys can choose any girl to couple up with, even if they’re with someone else. BUT NO ONE STEPPED FORWARD.
So here we have Ollie, one of the landed gentry. In his own words, when his dad dies he’ll be a lord. He’s looking for a girl his dad would approve of.
Yep, there you go. Siannise and Shaughna have both stepped forward – he’s gone for Shaughna.
The girls all started muttering “he’s hot” as he walked in, I reckon a few of them will step forward for Callum.
Next up is Callum, a 23-year-old scaffolder from Manchester. He’s been single for a while, so is on the look-out for a potential girlfriend.
So the girls have to step forward if they like the look of Nas. Then he picks the one (if more than one girl steps forward) that he fancies the most.
