12 mins: Good defending from Kyle Walker and John Stones who combine to block out Marcus Rashford’s run down the left wing and win the ball. 

United win the ball back and a beauty of a ball from Paul Pogba comes over the top for Bruno Fernandes who wins a corner. 

Luke Shaw swings it into the box, Victor Lindelof flicks the ball to the far post and Scott McTominay comes sliding in to reach it but misses the ball.

9 mins: Raheem Sterling gets into the action with a run between the lines. Kevin De Bruyne finds him in the box but Sterling’s first touch takes the ball away from him and it runs out of play. 

6 mins: Fred stretches for the ball and is hit late by De Bruyne. He goes down slowly in a bit of pain but looks as though he’ll run it off. Luke Shaw makes a good sliding tackle on Kyle Walker to stop him sprinting forward.

3 mins: Kevin De Bruyne is played down the right wing by Riyad Mahrez and he whips a cross deep into the box but David de Gea comes confidently out to claim it. 

Kick off: Man City get us underway. Man Utd have had a tendency to concede early goals and make big comebacks towards the end of the match this season but I don’t think they’ll get away with that against City.

Pep Guardiola explains why Sergio Aguero was not ready to start for City tonight. He said:
