Follow all the action from the Premier League at Goodison Park
Everton host rivals Liverpool at Goodison Park aiming to force Jurgen Klopp’s side to wait a little longer to clinch the Premier League title.
The Reds have been forced to wait longer than any side ever in English football history after the league’s suspension due to coronavirus but could get one of the two wins they need tonight against their biggest rivals. Mohamed Salah and Georginio Wijnaldum were not deemed fit enough to start for them while Andrew Robertson misses out altogether. Carlo Ancelotti wants a result as he continues to build for the future with the Toffees and handed a first Premier League start to teenager Anthony Gordon to try and get it.
Follow live updates from Goodison Park in the live blog below:
45+1 min: Two minutes of added time at the end of the half.
44 min: Mane picks out Minamino in the middle of the box, but his shot is blocked by Holgate. The Japanese winger has looked lively without really hurting Everton tonight.
41 min: Better from the Liverpool right back this time, who goes for goal and draws a fairly routine save from Pickford, low to his right.
40 min: Mane turns Coleman and draws a foul from Keane, who can’t keep up with the Liverpool forward. Another set piece for Alexander-Arnold.
39 min: Alexander-Arnold’s delivery from set pieces has been unusually poor so far. Another free kick rolls harmlessly out for a goal kick.
36 min: Everton work the ball nicely down the right through Iwobi, who finds Gordon. The youngster lays it off for Richarlison to shoot but his effort is blocked.
34 min: A decent chance for Firmino, who collects the ball on the edge of the box and chooses to shoot instead of finding Keita to his left. The Brazilian drags his left-footed effort wide.
32 min: Close! Gordon swings a free kick into the box and Richarlison’s header loops over the bar and onto the roof of the net. The flag goes up for offside a few seconds later.
30 min: It’s Alexander-Arnold who crosses and Matip who rises highest in the middle of the box. He guides his header wide, disappointingly given the space he found himself in.
29 min: Henderson’s attempted cross is charged down by Digne, but he uses an arm to block it and Liverpool have a free kick. Alexander-Arnold and Milner are the two candidates to send it into the box…
27 min: A late lunge from Davies on Mane draws a trademark “oooh” from Gary Neville. The Liverpool man did his opponent a favour by staying on his feet, though.
26 min: Just the one attempt on goal each for Liverpool and Everton so far. It’s another slow burner.
23 min: Time for drinks.
19 min: It’s all Liverpool at the moment. Everton are standing firm and restricting the visitors well, but it will be a concern for Ancelotti if his side continue to surrender possession.
15 min: Liverpool are beginning to assert themselves now after a slow start. The movement and tempo is there; the final ball is just a little wayward so far.
12 min: Richarlison fouls Fabinho and Liverpool have a free kick in shooting range. Alexander-Arnold instead chooses to cross but sends it beyond everyone in the box.
10 min: Fabinho and Keita work to dispossess young Gordan in midfield. The ball is played into Minamino, who gets the ball out of his feet and drives a shot at goal which flashes just over the bar.
