Arsenal are taking on Everton tonight in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium. Fans have gathered outside the stadium to protest against the ownership of the Kroenkes following the European Super League debacle this week, which saw Arsenal as one of the 12 clubs attempting to break away from Uefa and form their own competition which would ringfence money and power among a select few.
There is still the matter of Premier League places to play for and European competition next season. Arsenal can leapfrog the Toffees into eighth place in the Premier League and pull themselves back into Europa League contention with victory, while Everton can kill off the Gunners’ challenge and move themselves to within a point of seventh-place Liverpool and sixth-place Tottenham.
